Congratulations to the following students for achieving exceptional results during the statewide Audrey Thayer Piano Competition, held in Farmington, CT, on May 7. Anthony Hu ’25 was awarded second prize in the Grade 9 competition and Daniel Li ’24 was awarded first prize in the Grade 10 competition.
The students practiced diligently in order to prepare a challenging repertoire that included works by Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and Liszt. In addition to receiving prizes, both pianists will be featured in an upcoming winners recital at the end of May.
