Each year, Hotchkiss awards Book Prizes to recognize members of the prep, lower-mid, and upper-mid classes for outstanding academic achievement. These students have demonstrated mastery of relevant content, keen critical thinking, and impressive curiosity.

This year, the Book Prizes were awarded on May 30 in a ceremony after graduation. Below are the recipients of the Book Prizes, which celebrate academic achievements from the 2024-25 school year. Prizes for Humanities and Social Sciences will be presented next fall due to the nature of those specific awards.

“The awarding of prizes is both a celebration of individual excellence and an expression of our values as a learning community.  That is what this portion of the evening is about: recognizing individual students for their excellent academic achievement in particular subjects and, in so doing, expressing the value we place on outstanding academic achievement at Hotchkiss,” Head of School Craig W. Bradley said.

Following the awards, students moved into their new seats in Walker Auditorium in a celebratory Moving Up Ceremony. They also gave Bradley a standing ovation as he prepares to retire from Hotchkiss.
