Isis Fenner ’27 and George Ferrarone ’27 were elected All-School Presidents for the 2026-27 academic year following speeches on April 24. They ran alongside candidate pairs Valentina Castro ’27 and Fritz Weihman ’27, and Evan Williams ’27 and Helen Wood ’27.

“We’re excited and grateful to the Hotchkiss community for believing in our plans,” George said. “We’re eager to get to work.”

Their term will coincide with a moment of transition for the School. Incoming Head of School Anne Bruder will join Hotchkiss on July 1, following the retirement of Craig W. Bradley. “It’s such an honor to help lead the School during this time,” Isis said. “We’re looking forward to building community with Dr. Bruder.”

The pair has already spoken with Bruder about their goals for the year. “I'm excited to get to work with her,” George said.

Isis is a proctor in Flinn Hall, a co-head of Cafe, an affinity group for students who identify as Black or brown women, and a dedicated member of the Class Council for the past two years. George is also a member of the Class Council, a member of the football and lacrosse teams, and a proctor in Coy Hall.

They became friends through assigned seats in Walker Auditorium during All-School Meetings. “We embody friendship and focus,” Isis said.

Looking ahead, the pair plans to "boost energy and engagement with campus activities while also protecting the student-life balance that will keep the Hotchkiss experience joyful." They hope to introduce competitions and incentives to encourage participation across campus. Ideas include adding a spirit week for each athletic season and enhancing Troppy Tuesdays with lei giveaways and surprise tropical pop-ups throughout the year.

“To bring us closer together, we are creating Bearcat Bravos,” Isis said, noting that it will build on a monthly newsletter she has led for upper mids that highlights peers for their positive actions. "With Bearcat Bravos, we want to bring that spirit of recognition and celebration to the wider community.”
