Chief Communications Officer Hope Cobera '88, P’24 has accepted the role of vice president of communications at Colgate University and will conclude her service at The Hotchkiss School on June 30, 2026. Danielle Sinclair, currently director of communications, has been named interim chief communications officer effective July 1, 2026, reporting to incoming Head of School Anne Bruder.
Cobera joined Hotchkiss in March of 2020, just as the pandemic was taking hold. She rose immediately to the challenge of that moment, supporting Head of School Craig W. Bradley, the Board of Trustees, and the School as faculty and staff have worked to continually strengthen Hotchkiss. Her contributions have included significant enhancements to Hotchkiss Magazine, a major ramp-up of the School’s social media presence, oversight of commemorating 50 years of coeducation, development of a messaging platform for Hotchkiss's upcoming new website, and collaboration with colleagues across departments.
"She is a valued and trusted member of the administrative team and the School more broadly, and I am grateful for her partnership during the last six years," Bradley said.
Sinclair has played an invaluable role on the communications team since January 2017, and she held the position of interim director of communications before Cobera’s arrival. Sinclair’s previous experience includes serving as director of communications at Salisbury School from 2004 to 2017 and working in Hotchkiss’s Office of Alumni & Development from 1996 to 2003.
Under Bruder’s leadership, the School will undertake a formal search process for the next chief communications officer in due course. Cobera and Sinclair will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition.
