The Hotchkiss School is pleased to announce that Mike Collette ’80 has joined its Board of Trustees. He is the founder of PatientPoint, a patient engagement company, where he served as CEO for more than 30 years before retiring in 2024.

Collette spends much of his time advising early-stage venture-backed businesses. He currently serves as a board member for Carefeed, an operations platform for long-term care communities; Actio Health, a PatientPoint spinout serving the Veterans Administration; and Double Cross Vodka, an ultra-premium vodka brand.

Throughout his career, Collette has been very active in nonprofit leadership. He has been a board member of the Free Store Food Bank of Greater Cincinnati, served on the Community Investment Committee of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, and was a trustee of the Seven Hills School, where he also chaired the Experiential Learning Committee and launched its entrepreneurship program. He was also the founder of the Indian Hill Winter Club, a community winter sports facility, and the PatientPoint Foundation, an organization focused on mitigating health disparities in socially vulnerable communities.

He attributes his entrepreneurial success to skills he learned at Hotchkiss. “Those skills include time management and industry, but it was Hotchkiss athletics that taught me the value of leadership, teamwork, overcoming adversity, and perseverance," he said in his Hotchkiss Alum of the Month profile. "Hotchkiss was a special time in our lives, getting to share those formative years with classmates. I felt like I had dozens of siblings. In fact, I still do. You can’t accomplish great things without the support of other people, whether it’s winning a sporting contest or building a business or a social venture that benefits your community.”

Collette received a degree in Russian and engineering from Dartmouth College and currently lives in Cincinnati with his wife of 38 years.
