Hotchkiss Summer Concerts are back! The Hotchkiss School welcomes the community, neighbors, and friends to enjoy its annual summer series of world-class musical concerts—free and open to the public. Whether for a pre-concert picnic at Hotchkiss or just to take in spectacular views of Lake Wononscopomuc and the southern Berkshire Mountains, visitors are invited to come early before enjoying performances inside the School’s renowned Katherine M. Elfers Hall, Esther Eastman Music Center. The hall is air-conditioned and handicapped- accessible. Follow this link to see the full concert schedule with program information.
The Hotchkiss Summer Portals program hosts gifted young pianists from around the world for intensive study with resident and guest artists. Students, mentored by a faculty of professional musicians, participate in weekly master classes and give free public performances.
This year, featured performers include American-Israeli pianist Oxana Yablonskaya performing July 20, pianists and Hotchkiss faculty members, Fabio Witkowski and Gisele Nacif Witkowski with the Fine Arts Quartet appearing July 23, and French classical pianist and music educator, Michel Bourdoncle, performing July 26. Other pianists to perform include Spanish pianists Leonel Morales and Leo de Maria, appearing together on July 28.
